Welcome to the staff pick where we invite employees to share their favorite concoctions! Big “Thank you!” shout out to Leanne Kubiez for her contribution to our post this month! Leanne Kubiez is one of the lead bartenders and an assistant manager at Society Lounge.
Leanne’s drink selection is the Offering to the Deities.
We took the time to ask her, what makes this drink unique?
I love this one because it is tropical but has a fun smokiness and if you know me you know I love my smoky spirits.
Of all the drinks you serve, what made you choose this one?
I love that it features two ingredients that until recently were not available in Ohio, Mezcal and Yellow Chartreuse.
Mezcal is Tequila’s cooler older brother. I wasn’t a huge tequila fan, but the smokiness of Mezcal has caught my fancy. Yellow Chartreuse is similar to Green Chartreuse both use over 130 botanicals and are made by monks, but Yellow Chartreuse gives off a slightly sweeter, honey and citrus tone which is fun to pair with drinks. This drink is fun to garnish and is a great use of new ingredients to the state.
