Blue Blazer Cocktail: How To

What you’ll need:

  • 2 mugs
  • 1.5 oz boiling water
  • .25 oz simple syrup
  • 1 lemon twist
  • .5 oz blended Scotch whiskey
  • 1 match (and a fire extinguisher in case)

Fill both mugs with hot water and let them warm up while you boil the water. Further prep by putting the simple syrup and lemon twist into an Irish coffee mug. When water boils, dump the hot water out of the mugs.

On Saturday, April 12th more than 1,100 people gathered to raise money for University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital at ‘Ride the Rainbow: Superheroes Unite.’ And we’re proud to say that Society was among them. Beverage Director, Joseph Frederickson was in attendance as a guest celebrity bartender for the night.

People have always told me I have an “old soul”. I’ve always been interested in things from the past: music, clothing collectibles. When I started at Society, I was able to create cocktails that were historically relevant. I thought it was very cool.

The Cleveland Museum of Natural History hosted “The Science of Love” event this week with Society serving their signature cocktails, paired with some food aphrodisiacs.

“Society Lounge served drinks that followed the theme by adding mood enhancers to the specialty cocktails. The participants learned what ingredient in their food made it an aprhodisiac. The event ties in with the museum’s on-going exhibit “Nature’s Mating Games: Beyond the Birds and the Bees.”
